About Culfoichbeg Lodge

A scenic journey following the River Spey to reach Culfoichbeg Lodge is an integral part of your holiday experience. Every direction reveals picturesque vistas, setting the stage for an unforgettable adventure.

This once-modest bungalow has been transformed into an exceptional two-bedroom holiday home. Their meticulous renovation has given birth to a spacious, thoughtful, and luxurious retreat. Every nook and cranny of this stunning house reflects the owner’s dedication to creating a space that guests will adore.

Kitchen and living

Stepping through the front door, you’re greeted by a spacious porch, adorned with comfy seating and stunning wallpaper that leaves a lasting impression. Further inside, in the hallway, a rustic desk beckons, providing a peaceful workspace or maybe a canvas for your unwritten novel, all while gazing out at the inspiring view. However, the true marvel awaits – the open-plan kitchen, living, and dining area, with woodland-inspired colours, seamlessly blending the indoors with the natural world. Handpicked furnishings marry practicality with beauty, while the well-equipped kitchen serves as a playground for culinary creativity.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

Two elegant double bedrooms, each boasting king-sized beds and luxurious en-suites, invite you to savour comfort. The principal suite’s dressing room and scenic view, leading to a spacious garden with patio and rolling meadow, promise mornings of peace and quiet.

Amenities

The wood burner as well as underfloor heating ensures cosy toes, a utility room simplifies life’s chores, and a spare shower room caters to convenience. For outdoor enthusiasts, a secure boot room stands ready to securely house sports equipment.

But the surprises continue. Step out of the side door, a few strides away, and you’ll find the studio – a versatile space for reflection and relaxation. With its towering south facing gallery window, patio doors, and a welcoming wood burner, it invites you to embrace a sense of calm in your chosen way whether that involves yoga, artistic pursuits, or simply enjoying a good book. Another bathroom is conveniently located in the studio building for your use, should the need arise.

Outdoors

Stepping outside, the garden has also been well planned, offering outdoor seating, a barbecue, and a firepit to relish the open air and take in the views of unspoiled natural countryside.

Location

Culfoichbeg’s location is nothing short of magical. There are walks from the door and the Cromdale Hills beckon explorers, while the historic town of Grantown on Spey is just a 15-minute drive away. Sitting on the Tulcan Estate, it is the perfect location for fishing on their 8 miles of the River Spey. The night sky showcases stunning skyscapes, while birdwatchers can delight in the presence of Lapwings, Curlew, Oyster Catchers, and more. And if adventure calls, the Lecht ski area is a mere 30-minute drive.

Moreover, the region boasts approximately 30 distilleries within 30 miles – a true delight for enthusiasts of Scotland’s liquid gold. In the heart of nature’s grandeur, Culfoichbeg Lodge promises an escape that combines comfort, creativity, and boundless exploration.

3rd visit and still absolutely perfect! Along with visits to the Moray Coast, Cairngorms, Landmark Adventure Park. Closer to here we'd highly recommend KJ's Bothy Bakery (just outside Grantown) - fabulous bread, eats and coffee. A huge thank you for sharing this little gem. It truly is a lovely place to rest and recharge out batteries, and make some wonderful family memories. We're not ruling out visit number 4 at some point in the future!

We have had a great time here and we will definitely miss this place. All the bike rides, walks, the friendly deer visitors, and always doing puzzles in the studio next door. We will truly miss it and will definitely be back!

Wow! Thank you for such a wonderful house - we have been truly spoiled with such amazing surroundings and comfort. We have managed to relax and dream of staying here for much longer. We loved meeting Rosie and enjoyed playing golf and taking a trip of the Strathspey Steam Railway. We loved KJ's Bothy Bakery for coffee and cake too. Many thanks.
