Each Seasgair lodge is unique and characterful, and we hope that guests of varying ages and abilities can enjoy a stay with us. Several lodges have downstairs bedrooms with ensuite walk-in showers and spacious living areas. Please contact us for a chat about your specific needs.
Craigard Lodge and Culfoichbeg Lodge has a 7kW Type 2 electric car charging point for guest use. ChargePlace Scotland will help you find other local electric vehicle charging stations. Please do not plug into the lodge electrics for electric car charging. This is strictly prohibited and could void the insurance of the property. Guests would be liable for any damage and additional costs incurred.
All the lodges come with:
Bed linen
Towels
Kitchen linen
Washing-up supplies
Handwash
Fridges, freezers, microwaves and a large selection of crockery and utensils
Hairdryers.
Some lodges provide shampoo and shower gel, and most offer free unlimited logs for woodburners.
All lodges have free Wi-Fi: you’ll find the network and password details in the guestbook app.
Most bars, restaurants and cafes in the area offer free Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi can sometimes be a bit slower than it is in cities, and it’s best to assume it won’t be streaming speed.
A four-wheel drive car is not necessary. Most lodges are close to a main road, and in the winter roads are ploughed and salted. Some of our lodges are within walking distance of local transport links, and there are some excellent local taxi firms – so a car may not be necessary at all. Some of the lodges are down a woodland track so driving slowly and carefully is advised, but the tracks are well-maintained throughout the summer and winter.
We only work with the best owners and handpick the best lodges in the best locations for you. All of the lodges are inspected prior to guests’ arrival. We pride ourselves in offering our guests a unique type of luxury.
Yes, pets are allowed in most of our lodges. You can find our more in our Pet Friendly Collection. Many people bring their dogs to stay, and we’ve even welcomed cats and pet rabbits in the past! We normally limit this to two well-behaved dogs, but if you have more, please give us a call and we can advise on which lodges would be suitable. There is a charge for each dog to cover the extra cleaning (this charge may vary between lodges). There are many fantastic doggy walks right from your doorstep.
This is always a hard one to answer! Typically the mountains are ready for snowsports by Christmas and the season normally runs through to the end of April. The Scottish ski season has, on occasion, opened during November and run through to June. Scottish conditions do mean that ski resorts may not be open consistently during this time. Check the Cairngorm Mountain, Lecht 2090 and Glenshee Facebook pages for the most up-to-date information.
Check-in from 4pm.
Check-out is by 10am.
We offer a self-check in process and leave the keys in a secure location for your lodge. If you would like us to meet you on arrival, just get in touch and we will try our best to arrange a friendly face to be there to meet you.
Once you have made your booking, there will be no extra charges at departure (unless significant damage has occurred, please see below about security deposits and our Terms and Conditions).
No, but sometimes things happen so please let us know so we can work with you to get it fixed. Our properties are thoroughly checked after your departure and any unreported or excessive damage and cleaning will be charged for.
Please leave your lodge tidy and do your washing up. We’d also like you to take your bins out and recycle where you can. Details of what can be recycled and where to find the bins are in your lodge. You don’t need to strip the beds or hoover – unless you really want to!
We recommend that you take out adequate cover on booking. You’ll find our full cancellation policy in our Terms and Conditions. Depending on your policy, you may have to take out extra insurance to cover snow sports or any specialised kit you bring.
By making your booking you enter into a legal contract with us, and all payments are non-refundable. If you do need to cancel, please send us an email, and we’ll get back to you to confirm the cancellation charges. If you don’t hear back from us, please follow up – we always reply to all enquiries. We strongly recommend you take out holiday insurance to cover potential cancellation expenses.
There are contact details in our online guidebook, and we hope we have included everything you need to know about each lodge. However, if you still have queries, we are on hand to help in any way we can.
