About Craigard Lodge

From the moment you turn into the driveway, you’re sure to fall for the charms of fabulous Craigard. With the feel of a grand old Highland lodge – complete with turrets, large lawn, high ceilings, stained glass windows and a very impressive staircase – Craigard has the wow factor throughout. But it also comes with modern luxuries like a large outdoor hot tub, cinema room, games room and rain showers.

With spacious rooms over three floors, and a separate mews annexe, there is room for two or three families and up to 15 guests to take over this magnificent property for an extremely special holiday in this beautiful part of Speyside. The reception rooms and most of the bedrooms enjoy fantastic views out over the garden towards the mountains. You’re just a short walk from the village centre, and only 10 minutes drive from either Aviemore or Grantown.

Living

Off the main entrance hall is your huge drawing room. With big deep sofas, stunning views to the garden and mountains and a vast dining table, you might imagine you’d spend most of your evenings relaxing in here. However across the entrance hall is another elegant and comfortable sitting room in which you may prefer to relax over after-dinner drinks!

Bedrooms and bathrooms

Up the glorious carved wood staircase you’ll find an expansive principal bedroom which overlooks the garden. It has its own delightful little turret, and an ensuite with roll top bath and shower. There are two further large double bedrooms and a twin with ensuite shower room on this floor, as well as a bath and shower room, and a shower room with a loo.

Up to the second floor and another double bedroom, a turreted twin room and a single – all of which overlook the gardens. There’s also a bathroom with bath and shower and a loo on this floor. But the most exciting room up here must be the huge cinema room, with giant projector screen, sound system and an array of comfy sofas and beanbags to settle into for a night of your favourite movies.

Amenities

Out of the front door with views over the golf course to the hills beyond is the outdoor dining area, with large bubbling hot tub found to the back of the house as well as an electric charging point. To the rear is the mews annexe, which you enter through french windows to reach its games room with pool table, table tennis and table football. Upstairs is a handy little apartment should you need it, with double bedroom, sitting and kitchen area and shower room.

Location

It’s just a short walk down Kinchurdy Road into Boat of Garten village, or turn left out of the house to join the Speyside Way which takes you on foot or bicycle all the way to Aviemore. Up to eight cars can comfortably be accommodated outside.

We have just come back from a brilliant week staying at Craigard Lodge with all our family, to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary. The house was really spacious and spotlessly clean, with everything you could need. The games room, cinema room and outdoor space were much appreciated by our grandchildren- as was waving to the passing trains. There was so much to do in the surrounding area, highlights being a private curling session at Aviemore Icerink, the Highland Wildlife Park and Landmark. A memorable holiday for all.

We had a fantastic time at Craigard Lodge in Boat of Garten. The property is amazing, everything about is first class. The rooms, furnishings, cinema room, hot tub, the garden is huge, plenty of room for the grandkids to run around. Perfect location, just a few minutes down to the village with pub/restaurant/shops. Loads of trails to walk/cycle on, and lots of things to do nearby. If you are thinking about booking this place, do it, it is amazing!!

Thank you so much for making possible a fantastic family holiday with amazing memories. Craigard Lodge is stunning, luxurious, clean and very well equipped. A special thank you to Katie who understood immediately what was required and used her professional skills to solve the problem of my son being cited for jury service at the same time as our holiday dates. Well done to all at Seasgair.

Have just spent a week at Craigard Lodge with 14 family members. The house is beautiful inside and out, red squirrels and deer in the garden. The house was so clean and spacious and we also had a lovely welcome pack of goodies and bubbly. Games room and cinema room were enjoyed by all especially the youngsters. We are already thinking of booking for next year.
